Baltimore City Community College: Satellite classes at the Hampden Family Center –Stay tuned for more information.

Pre G.E.D./G.E.D.: Earn your General Equivalency Diploma with us. G.E.D. classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00pm. Fall semester class starts on Tuesday, September 18th with pre-testing. Full session runs from September thru December. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening, from 6:00-9:00pm. Registration fee-$25.

Counseling: Counseling and mediation services by a licensed therapist, for individuals and families. Sessions are held on Mondays, by appointment only. Free

Painting Classes: Join the Water Color landscape painting class, led by Ms. Sam McPherson. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm, beginning on Tuesday, September 11th. $10 supplies fee.


SENIORS

Meals on Wheels: Delivers meals to homebound persons of any age or economic status who are unable to shop for themselves because of illness, injury, recuperation from surgery, disability or a degenerative condition. The mission is to enhance the quality of life through the provision of nutritious meals, personal contact, and related services. Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland serves two meals a day (a hot meal and a cold meal), each week day including holidays. The meals are delivered between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The hot meal is to be eaten immediately and the cold meal is refrigerated for the evening.

Senior Luncheons: Workshops, Lunch and Bingo for Hampden Seniors are held on Fridays—9/28, 10/26, 11/30, 12/21 and 1/25 from 10:30am-12:30pm. Free.

Computer User Share Club: Learn the basics, brush up on skills, surf the net and communicate with others using e-mail. Instructor Doug Hewitt will teach you, regardless of skill level or computer experience. Club meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 4:00pm. Classes begin on Tuesday, October 2nd. $5 per class.

Home Energy Assistance: Meet with representatives from Baltimore City’s Department of Housing and apply for home energy assistance. Every Monday and Wednesday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Call and schedule an appointment. Free.
